Both are Ackcio tiltmeters. The BEAM-TM runs on the self-healing Ackcio Mesh; the BEAM-TM-L runs on LoRaWAN with GW 3.6.1. Use this page to choose the right one for your site.
BEAM-TMMesh tiltmeter. Built for complex, multi-point deployments where no clear line of sight exists.
BEAM-TM-LLoRa tiltmeter. Ideal for open-air, point-to-point deployments with dynamic event monitoring. At a glance
| Parameter | BEAM-TM (Mesh) | BEAM-TM-L (LoRa) |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Complex sites, obstructed environments | Open-air, point-to-point deployments |
| Wireless | Ackcio Mesh (self-healing, up to 50 nodes, 12 hops) | LoRaWAN, single hop: each node needs a clear line of sight to the gateway |
| Sensor | MEMS inclinometer | 3-axis MEMS accelerometer |
| Measurement range | ±15° | ±90° |
| Accuracy | ±0.01° | ±0.005° (within ±15°) |
| Resolution | 0.0001° (10× finer) | 0.001° |
| Axes / acceleration | Biaxial (X, Y), no acceleration | Triaxial (X, Y, Z), ±2g acceleration |
| Dynamic monitoring & alarms | Not supported (scheduled transmission only) | Supported: X, Y tilt and all accelerations |
| Battery life | 6 to 18 months | 2 to 5 years |
| HPC / internal memory | Yes: keeps recording and resends when the link returns | No: untransmitted data is lost if the battery dies |
| Stand-alone mode | Yes | No |
| Gateway | Ackcio Mesh Gateway | GW 3.6.1 only |
Which one should I choose?
Choose BEAM-TM
- Tunnels, mines, dams or obstructed slopes with no clear line of sight
- Many points that can relay through each other
- Data must survive a broken link (internal memory with background sync)
- You need stand-alone mode without a gateway
Choose BEAM-TM-L
- Open-air sites with line of sight to GW 3.6.1
- Tilt may exceed ±15° (rail cant, retaining walls)
- You need instant tilt or vibration alarms
- Remote or hard-to-reach locations where a multi-year battery matters
