BEAM-RN Repeater Node

BEAM-RN: Repeater Node

The BEAM-RN (Repeater Node) has no sensor connector blocks and does not collect sensor data. Its sole purpose is to extend the Ackcio Mesh network, acting as a relay point to bridge the gap between sensor nodes that are too far from the Gateway or other nodes.

  • No sensor wiring or sensor configuration is required.
  • Simply install batteries, mount the node in the desired relay position, and commission it as a standard node in Nimbus.
  • Once commissioned, the BEAM-RN will automatically join the mesh and start relaying data from child nodes.
  • After commissioning, sync the repeater with the Gateway. See Syncing nodes with the Gateway.

Place the BEAM-RN where it can see both the Gateway (or an upstream node) and the isolated downstream nodes in the Network Test. It must have at least 2 visible neighbours in the Network Test before deployment, the same rule applies as for all other nodes.

Using BEAM-TM-L? The LoRa tiltmeter has its own guide: GW 3.6.1, installation, commissioning and alarms.→
